<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting program recording reservation system capable of dissolving the troublesomeness of work by a user. <P>SOLUTION: In the broadcasting program recording reservation system 500, a display device 101 and a recording and reproducing device 102 are connected by an HDMI cable 103 capable of bidirectional data transmission and reception. Then, when a first operation of making a recording reservation is executed in a remote controller 114, the display device 101 executes first registration processing and second registration processing. The first registration processing is the processing of registering the recording reservation in a recording and reproducing device side recording reservation list provided in the recording and reproducing device 102 through the HDMI cable.
