摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a shape difference between a part which is cured firstly and a part which is cured secondly is easily generated. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a liquid crystal device has: a liquid crystal interposed between a pair of substrates opposed to each other; and a retardation film interposed between one substrate of the pair of substrates and the liquid crystal, wherein the retardation film has: a retardation part 101 imparting retardation to incident light; and an isotropy part showing optical isotropy. The method includes steps of: forming a liquid body film 95b on the liquid crystal side of the one substrate by using a liquid body containing a material which constitutes the retardation film; curing a portion of the liquid body film to form the retardation part 101; and curing at least a portion on the outer side of the retardation part 101 in the liquid body film 95b to form the isotropy part.
