PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination lamp control device which similarly realizes light control in light-reducing direction and light-increasing direction at the time of lighting of a fluorescent lamp even if an existing fluorescent lamp is used. SOLUTION: The illumination lamp control device is provided with an MERS (magnetic energy regeneration switch) 4 which is connected in series between an illumination lamp 2 and an AC power supply 3, and adjusts and outputs a load voltage for lighting an illumination lamp from the power supply voltage of the AC power supply and a control device 5 for controlling the MERS. The control device is a fluorescent lamp system 1 which controls the MERS so as to adjust and output from the power supply voltage the load voltage equivalent to a light control volume for normally lighting the illumination lamp at the time of lighting use, and the control device controls the MERS at the time of lighting according to a command so as to adjusts and outputs from the power supply voltage by adjusting the load voltage to a rated voltage or rated voltage or lower, even if the input voltage equivalent to the light control volume 100% for normally lighting the illumination lamp fluctuates.
