PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel and a remotecontrol transmitter using the same that are used mainly for operation of different kinds of electronic devices, which contributes to its slimmed body and allows reliable operation. SOLUTION: A plurality of substantially triangular conductive layers 14 are arranged on an upper surface of a film-like base sheet 13 in a radial fashion to form a touch panel 12, and control means 25 controls to transmit a remote control signal from transmission means 24 in accordance with operation of the touch panel 12. In this way, the touch panel 12 can be slimmed in the form of a thin plate, and operations can be made only by bringing touch-operation based on finger light touch into any of the plurality of conductive layers 14 that are substantially triangular or substantially trapezoidal, thus achieving a touch panel allowing reliable operation without false operations and a remotecontrol transmitter using the same.
