PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient manhole pump system capable of pumping wastewater containing foreign matter while avoiding the clogging of submerged pumps. SOLUTION: The inside of a wastewater tank 1 is divided into two area by a screen 5. The first submerged pump 2 and an inflow pipe 4 allowing foreign matter to flow therethrough are installed in one area, and the second submerged pump 3 having a high pumping efficiency is installed in the other area. Consequently, the wastewater containing the foreign matter is pumped up by the first submerged pump 2, and the wastewater not containing the foreign matter is pumped up by the second submerged pump 3.
