POWER CONTROL METHOD AND DEVICE

PURPOSE: A power control method and an apparatus thereof for minimizing call interference in a cell edge region are provided to control the call quality by each barer and minimize call interference in the cell edge region. CONSTITUTION: A power control apparatus controlling external loop power includes a communication unit(310) and an analyzing unit(315). The communication unit receives the channel frame from a base station. The analyzing unit acquires SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio) in a channel frame. The analyzing unit resets target block error ratio by using SIR. The power control apparatus carries out the outer loop power control with the base station it uses the reset target block error ratio.
