<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal device reduced in the consumption of battery power by a contact sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A touch sensor 60 adapted to detect a contact input by a finger or the like comprises two sensor modules 60a and 60b. The sensor modules 60a and 60b each comprise a number of sensors linearly aligned, and the operation states thereof are set by control of a control part 100. When a user touches a sensor of the sensor module 60a, the control part 100 carries current only to the touched sensor and sensors in the vicinity thereof to receive an input from the user, and does not carry current to the remaining sensors on the same sensor module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
