<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee airbag device that is attached to a glove door and allows assembly of a knee airbag module, manufactured in a step different from a step of manufacturing a glove door, to the glove door while being advantageous in terms of mass and costs. <P>SOLUTION: A case 43 of a knee airbag module 40 is configured such that the side face of the vehicle front is almost flush with the general face 22a of a glove-door inner 22. Therefore, it makes the case 43 work as a cover to cover a recessed part 22b. Therefore, even if a cover 50 is provided, the cover 50 is required only to partially cover the recessed part 22b but the cover 50 is not required to wholly cover the recessed part 22b. Consequently, it is possible to reduce the mass of the cover so as to further reduce costs compared with the case of wholly covering the recessed part by the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
