ANTIBODY AGAINST INSULIN-LIKE GROWTH FACTOR I RECEPTOR AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show profitability to patients requiring anti-tumor therapy and provide reduction and profitable elongation of the progression period of time of tumor proliferation.

SOLUTION: An antibody of a human IgG1 isotype is provided. The antibody shows a ratio of inhibition of the binding of IGF-I (insulin-like growth factor-I) to IGF-IR (IGF-I receptor) to the inhibition of binding of IGF-II to IGF-IR of 1:3-3:1 and induces cell death of ≥20% cells of a preparation of IGF-IR expressing cells after 24 hours at 100 nM concentration of the antibody caused by antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), binds to human IGF-IR and inhibits binding of IGF-I and IGF-II to IGF-IR. The antibody has improved properties in the anti-tumor therapy.
