PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery frame fixing device of a sewing machine having an embroidery sewing function, which extremely excellently improves attachability of an embroidery frame to the carriage of the sewing machine having an embroidery sewing function. SOLUTION: The embroidery frame fixing device of a sewing machine having an embroidery sewing function includes the carriage A that reciprocately moves on an embroidery frame drive mechanism and is equipped with a connection pin 42 for detachably connecting the embroidery frame and a connection part 6 that is attached to the outer frame 51 of the embroidery frame 5, and equipped with an opening part 613 for attaching and detaching the connection pin 42 in an approximately horizontal direction at a position corresponding to the connection pin 42. The connection part 6 is provided with a fixation means B for fixing the connection pin 42 attached to the carriage A to the connection part 6 in a state in which the connection pin is fixed to the opening part 613 in an approximately horizontal direction.
