PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having a high mobility and a large current on/off ratio, and exhibiting excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer, which contains at least one of compounds represented by general formula (1). In the formula (1), X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>8</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a ring A is a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring, and a ring B is a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted benzo[b]thiophene ring.
