PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycrystalline thin film capable of preventing warpage of a substrate due to internal stress of the film, by thinning an interlayer while maintaining good crystal orientation; and to provide an oxide superconductor with high critical current density and a superb superconducting property. SOLUTION: The polycrystalline thin film has an interlayer 25 formed by laminating a first layer 23 and a second layer 24 sequentially on a metal base 21, wherein the crystal structure of the first and second layers 23, 24 is a rock salt structure and a fluorite structure, respectively, and the orientation axis of the first layer 23 and the second layer 24 are the same and both with <100> orientation.
