PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which reduces costs by reducing the number of components, and uses a simple frame integrally formed with a yoke base and a suspension holder only by bending a sheet metal. SOLUTION: This optical pickup has a processed metal plate frame integrally formed by bending magnetic sheet metal. The surface to attach magnets and the surface to attach a fixed substrate are made of the lower section by folding a plurality of times. When the number of folding times is n, the metal plate is folded by n-1 or more folding lines in the tangential directions. Further, partitions are provided to form three surfaces to insert bar-shaped elastic supports, and fill the inserted positions with an adhesive agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
