The cylinder head seal has a layer of metal with at least one crescent or fold deformation, with a through aperture for sealing the flat components. The seal has topographically divided zones (1-3), with different mechanical properties. In particular, the zones have different hardness at different points. These zones extend over all or part of the cross-section of the sealing layer. The zones may differ in rigidity and strength, being of greater strength where the components are of low rigidity and less strength where they are of greater rigidity. |
