PURPOSE: Steel cord for a passenger car radial tire is provided to offer excellent rubber permiability with low load elongation without degradation other property, and to improve durability of the tire by reducing fretting wear. CONSTITUTION: Steel cord(1) for a passenger car radial tire includes a first filament(11) n-n1 and a core(20) n1 of 1×n2 structure. THE core of 1×n2 structure includes second filament(21). The n is 2 ~ 7. The n1 is 1 ~ 6. The n2 is 2 ~ 6. The line diameter of the first filament is 0.15 ~ 0.5mm. The line diameter of the second filament is 0.045 ~ 0.4mm.
