<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic luminescent device using a fluorene derivative that irradiates high-purity blue as a luminescent material. <P>SOLUTION: The organic luminescent device having one organic layer containing a luminescent layer between a pair of electrodes or a plurality of organic layers likewise, and at least one layer out of the organic layers contains a compound expressed by the formula (1) as a single compound or a mixture, wherein A, B and C are independently a substituent selected out of hydrogen, a substituted or nonsubstituted phenylene group, a substituted or nonsubstituted naphthalene group, a substituted biphenylene group, a substituted or nonsubstituted fluorene group, and a substituted or nonsubstituted carbazole group, respectively. A and B may be mutually coupled to form a substituted or nonsubstituted saturated cyclic bond. R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>5</SB>are independently a substituent selected out of hydrogen, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkoxy group, and cycloalkoxy group. R<SB>6</SB>to R<SB>13</SB>are independently a substituent selected out of hydrogen, halogen, cycloalkyl group, alkoxy group, cycloalkoxy group, aryloxy group, a substituted or nonsubstituted phenylene group, and a substituted or nonsubstituted biphenylene group, respectively. n<SB>0</SB>and n<SB>1</SB>are independently 1 or 2. n<SB>2</SB>and n<SB>3</SB>are independently integers of 1 to 8.
