<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device and a method for driving the electrooptical device capable of suppressing the occurrence of display irregularity near a boundary of a block when using a block sequential driving system with comparatively simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device performing the block sequential driving system in which signal lines are sequentially driven in block units of every several lines, gamma setting of a red system (R), a green system (G) and a blue system (B), and gamma setting for correction of the red system (R) and the blue system (B) are stored, and gradation display voltage is supplied, in accordance with data obtained by correcting a gradation level of input display data by the gamma setting for correction, to a pixel corresponding to the end signal line closest to the block selected next, that is, the signal line belonging to the block selected previously out of a pair of blocks adjacent to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
