PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily perform an operation such as extension/contraction of a display range in a form matched to the human sense.

SOLUTION: The information output system 1 comprises a print medium 30 on which a pattern convertible to a coordinate value showing a position in the print medium is printed; a reading part 10 which reads the pattern; a generation part which generates a coordinate value showing a position in the print medium of the read pattern; and a control part which stores the coordinate value in association with a position coordinate value of information printed on the print medium, detects a predetermined value from a plurality of coordinate values, performs conversion to a position coordinate value corresponding to the predetermined coordinate value, and displays an area determined based on the converted position coordinate value while extending or contracting in accordance with a predetermined display range.
