PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which compensates for a decrease in the power of attention of a driver and allows safer driving when driving a vehicle at high altitude. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle navigation apparatus, when it determines that the altitude of the current position corresponds to a predetermined high-altitude area (S110), sets a notification mode related to route guidance and attention seeking to be a notification mode for high altitude in which notification contents are strengthened or added with respect to a predetermined notification mode at normal times. Specifically, the notification contents at high altitude are strengthened by methods such as extending a display area (S120), advancing notification timing (S130), increasing the volume of notification voice (S140), forcibly turning on a notification function turned off by a user (S150), and performing correlated notification with an on-vehicle notification apparatus (S170).
