PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid ejection device configured to stably eject a fluid from an ejection head. SOLUTION: The fluid ejection device includes: the ejection head for ejecting the fluid toward a medium; a plurality of fluid supply tanks for supplying the fluid to the ejection head; and a position changing mechanism for independently changing the positions of the fluid supply tanks in accordance with the storage amount of the fluid stored in the plurality of fluid supply tanks. The positions of the fluid supply tanks are independently changed in accordance with the storage amount of the fluid stored in the plurality of fluid tanks, accordingly, the fluid is stably supplied from the fluid supply tanks into the ejection head, irrespective of the fluid storage amount in the fluid supply tank.
