摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reduce harmful components in exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine comprising a high-pressure EGR passage and a low-pressure EGR passage, in regard to a control device for internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This control device for internal combustion engine comprises a high-pressure EGR passage connecting an upstream side of a turbine of a turbo charger to a downstream side of a compressor, a low-pressure EGR passage connecting a downstream side of the turbine to an upstream side of the compressor, an EGR selector means for performing EGR through the high-pressure EGR passage in a high-pressure EGR range on a low load side and for performing EGR through the low-pressure EGR passage in a low-pressure EGR range on a high load side higher than the high-pressure EGR range, an actual compression ratio variable means for changing an actual compression ratio by changing the closing timing of an intake valve of the internal combustion engine, and an actual compression ratio reducing means for controlling the actual compression ratio variable means so that the actual compression ratio becomes smaller than a base actual compression ratio in the low-pressure RGR range.
