CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a pre-mixed compression ignition combustion type (PCCI combustion type) internal combustion engine, stably operating in a wide range of operation area. SOLUTION: This control device for an engine 1 is for a PCCI combustion type engine using light oil or pre-mixed fuel of light oil and other fuel as the main fuel and igniting the main fuel in compression inside a combustion chamber 13. This control device for the engine 1 comprises: a fuel supply means 20 for supplying the main fuel to the engine 1; a hydrogen supply means 30 for supplying reformed gas including hydrogen to the intake air of the engine 1; a fuel supply control section 41 for controlling the main fuel injection time and the main fuel injection period by a fuel injector 22 of the fuel supply means 20 based on the PCCI combustion condition of the engine 1; and a hydrogen supply control section 42 for controlling the time and the period of injection of hydrogen included in the reformed gas by a gas injector 32 of the hydrogen supply means 30.
