PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device capable of improving cooling efficiency of an internal combustion engine by positively cooling a wall surface of a combustion chamber on the exhaust port side thereof. SOLUTION: This cooling device of an internal combustion engine 1 comprising a cylinder head 4 integrally formed with an exhaust manifold 13 for collecting exhaust from a plurality of combustion chambers 7 comprises a cooling water passage for leading the cooling water, which flows into from a cooling water inlet 14 provided in an upper part of the exhaust manifold 13, onto a wall part of the combustion chamber 7 on the exhaust port 12 side thereof, leading along a wall part of the exhaust manifold 13. An ignition plug wall surface 8 for igniting air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber 7 is provided in an upper part of the combustion chamber 7, and the cooling water passage is extended so that the cooling water on the wall part of the combustion chamber 7 on the exhaust port 12 side thereof is led to an intake side of the cylinder head 4 through the side wall of the ignition plug wall surface 8.
