PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground excavation method which enables excavated soil to be discarded as general surplus soil without the need for separation treatment by preventing industrial waste from being contained in the excavated soil, when ground is excavated after reinforcement. SOLUTION: A hollow pipe body 5 or a solid rod body 7 with biodegradability is driven into the ground, and a consolidated area 4 is formed by injecting a chemical solution mainly composed of liquid glass, so as to reinforce the ground. Subsequently, the ground is excavated, and the excavated soil is discharged. A harmful substance is not contained in the excavated soil, and the excavated soil can be disposed of as the general surplus soil. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
