PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold-releasing polyester film suitable for miniaturization, capable of molding a molded product with good processing characteristics and a good quality. SOLUTION: The mold-releasing polyester film has an average thermal contraction ratio at the time of heat treatment at 150°C for 30 minutes of 1.0-2.5% in the film longitudinal direction and 0.2-1.6% in the film width direction, and an average thermal contraction ratio at the time of heat treatment at 100°C for 30 minutes of 0.2-0.8% in the film longitudinal direction and -0.2-0.5% in the film width direction. The difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of thermal contraction ratios in the film longitudinal direction at the time of heat treatment at 150°C for 30 minutes is 0.12%/m or less in the film longitudinal direction, and the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of thermal contraction ratios in the film longitudinal direction at the time of heat treatment at 150°C for 30 minutes is 0.12%/m or less in the film width direction. The difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of thermal contraction ratios in the film longitudinal direction at the time of heat treatment at 100°C for 30 minutes is 0.05%/m or less in the film longitudinal direction, and the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of thermal contraction ratios in the film longitudinal direction at the time of heat treatment at 100°C for 30 minutes is 0.05%/m or less in the film width direction.
