PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying mechanism capable of reducing the size while suppressing the increase of manufacturing cost, in the conveying mechanism for conveying by changing the conveying position of the paper, and to provide an image forming device equipped with the same. SOLUTION: A shift mechanism 90 is equipped with a guide member 91, a bearing part 92, a rotary shaft 93, a conveying roller 94, and a bearing unit 97, and conveys the paper P while moving in the horizontal direction. The guide member 91 is provided with an opening part 91H forming a part of a conveying path and a through-hole 91C passing through the side surface of a front surface side of the opening part 91H. The rotary shaft 93 passes through the through-hole 91C, and the conveying roller 94 pivotally supported by the rotary shaft 93 holds the paper P with the guide member 91. The bearing unit 97 has a cylindrical part 97R which is movably inserted in the through-hole 91C and bearing the rotary shaft 93 in the horizontal direction, and rotationally drives the rotary shaft 93.
