PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder of a crank shaft capable of widening a counterweight width to be wider than a web width and increasing a weight of an outer peripheral side of the counterweight. SOLUTION: The grinder 1 for pressing a whetstone 10 against an outer peripheral surface of a journal 52 or a crank pin 55 as a part to be worked while rotating the crank shaft 51 includes the whetstone 10 coming into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the part to be worked for grinding it, a whetstone holder 20 for carrying the whetstone, and a means 30 for rotating the crank shaft. The width of the whetstone is specified to be the same width as that of the part to be worked, and in addition the width of the whetstone holder is specified to be narrower than that of the part to be worked.
