Described herein are methods for treating and preventing MRSA/MSSA. The present subject matter deviates from current treatment methods by introducing a controlled decolonization/recolonization method, which eradicates the host surface area of MRSA/MSSA, and colonizes the newly cleared surface area with a nonpathogenic or pathogenic bacteria capable of outcompeting MRSA/MSSA. |
