The vacuum cleaner (1) has a suction nozzle (6) attached to a suction pipe (3) by a connector (5) and rotated against the suction pipe at a line axis. A wide nozzle (9) enables laminar suction. The connector has a pair of suction openings for the wide nozzle and a crevice nozzle (10), respectively. One of the suction openings is opened for the crevice nozzle in the form of a gate valve and the other suction opening is closed for the wide nozzle in the form of the gate valve, and vice versa, based on the rotation of the suction pipe relative to the suction nozzle.
