The cover has plate strips laterally attached in line in a right-angled manner, where the cover is made up of wood-based material. Each of the plate strips includes a single-layer oriented strand board (OSB) fiber board. A set of individual strands is overlapped at a point of neighboring set of strands. The strands are aligned in an angle from 0 degree to 60 degree to each other. The cover is designed in multiple parts. The plate strips are mechanically connected and/or glued with one another. The plate strips include a sound-absorbing, sound-uncoupling intermediate layer.
