<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a driver's seat capable of increasing an opening area of an airbag cover and expanding a deployment area of an airbag when the airbag is deployed and expanded. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device for the driver's seat includes: a tearing portion formed on the airbag cover, and having both ends reach at a peripheral edge portion 22 of the airbag cover through a center portion 21; a plurality of cover pieces 25 formed on the airbag cover by the tearing portion, and divided when the airbag device for the driver's seat is actuated; and a plurality of rotating members 30 surrounding the airbag and arranged in a circumferential direction at proper intervals between the airbag cover and a mounting member, mounted to the cover pieces at one end portions, and coupled to the mounting member through a hinge portion 8 at the other ends so as to rotate outward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
