摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for actively controlling a combustion pattern factor to extend the service life of an engine part by maintaining the combustion pattern factor at the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for actively controlling the combustion pattern factor in the gas turbine engine includes the processes of issuing fuel into a combustion chamber of the gas turbine engine through one or more circumferentially disposed fuel injectors, determining an initial circumferential combustion pattern factor in the combustion chamber, and adjusting fuel flow through one or more selected fuel injectors based on the initial circumferential combustion pattern factor, to yield a modified circumferential combustion pattern factor in the combustion chamber. The process of determining the circumferential combustion pattern factor include the processes of detecting a chemiluminescent signature within the combustor, correlating the chemiluminescent signature to an equivalence ratio, and computing the initial circumferential combustion pattern factor based on the equivalence ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
