PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selector 11 capable of efficiently executing batch processing of a plurality of types of coins. SOLUTION: A plurality of return boxes 18 are installed by coin types. During a batch processing mode, coins sorted by type by a sorting means are stored in the plurality of the return boxes 18 via a plurality of temporary storage units, and the plurality of types of coins can be simultaneously batch processed. In the batch processing mode, when the number of a type of coins stored in the plurality of temporary storage units reaches a designated number by identification based on memory of a number in the return box memory unit, and coin identification by an identification unit, all the coins in the plurality of the temporary storage units are stored in the plurality of the return boxes 18. The memory of the number in the return box memory unit is updated, and a turning-on display unit 20 notifies to prompt removal of the coins from the plurality of the return boxes 18 reached the designated number.
