PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent member for forming a pattern with a glass base material colored partially, a timepiece, and a method for manufacturing the translucent member. SOLUTION: A glass cover 10 includes the base material 11 comprising sapphire glass. A pattern part 12 is formed on a surface of the base material 11, by a coloring part 121 formed with red-coloring of the base material 11, and a colorless transparent colorless part 122. The glass cover 10 is manufactured by carrying out a process for an ion implantation method of implanting either of a metal ion or a metalloid ion into one part of the base material, and a heat treatment process for heat-treating the base material.
