PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid-bearing apparatus which is used in information device such as HDD (hard disc drive), and is capable of suppressing invasion of such bubbles that are, out of small bubbles contained in lubricating fluid, smaller than a gap between a cover and a sleeve into the inside of the bearing. SOLUTION: In the fluid-bearing apparatus, a bubble joining boss 23 is formed in a lubricating fluid-reservoir space S1 to produce a low pressure part D wherein the pressure is low. In the low pressure part D, small bubbles 24 contained in the lubricating fluid 21 are collected to be joined together and grown into a large bubble 25. By virtue of capillary action of the lubricating fluid-reservoir space S1, the large bubble 25 is moved in the opposite direction to the lubricating fluid 21, and is discharged from aeration holes to the outside of the fluid bearing device.
