PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an effective output of a composite motive power device in which a gas turbine and a reciprocating engine are combined. SOLUTION: The composite motive power device 1 includes the gas turbine 10 and the reciprocating engine 20. Discharge air of a compressor 11 of the gas turbine 10 is fed to an air supply passage 21 of the reciprocating engine 20, and exhaust gas of the reciprocating engine 20 is fed to a combustor 12 of the gas turbine. Compression air discharged by the compressor 11 is directly delivered to an exhaust passage 16 of the gas turbine 10 through a turbine bypass passage 30 or directly delivered to an exhaust passage 22 of the reciprocating engine 20 through an engine bypass passage 32.
