PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method whereby S-adenosylmethionine can be mass produced. SOLUTION: A method of producing S-adenosylmethionine, which includes culturing a yeast in a medium added with a choline compound and collecting the S-adenosylmethionine thus accumulated in the system, is provided. Also provided is a method of producing S-adenosylmethionine, in which the yeast is a variant having a sequence whose one or more bases are substituted, deleted, inserted and/or added in the gene encoding phosphatidylcholine synthesizing enzyme.
