PURPOSE: A single precision floating point data storing method and a processor thereof are provided to use a dependency relationship detection circuit of a double precision point register. CONSTITUTION: A processor includes a register and a controller. The register saves double precision floating point data and single precision floating point data. The controller records single precision floating point data inputted in a half of an upper part of the register when single precision floating point data is processed. The controller records all zero in a half of a lower part of the register by the recorded data.
