<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance authentication accuracy in an authenticating environment without easing the reference of similarity. <P>SOLUTION: A biometric authentication apparatus includes an authentication data input part for acquiring authentication data from a living body; an authentication data processing part for storing authentication data acquired from the start of authentication processing until the termination; a verification part for verifying the acquired authentication data sequentially with authentication base data and completing the authentication when the similarity exceeds a predetermined authentication threshold; and an authentication base data registration processing part for additionally registering authentication data exceeding a predetermined discrimination threshold out of the stored authentication data, as the authentication base data when the authentication is completed exceeding a predetermined time from the start of processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
