<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of reducing mottles of light on a light extracting surface. <P>SOLUTION: This organic EL device 1 is equipped with an element substrate 2, a light emitting part 3, a sealing plate 6, and a sealing material 7 to seal the element substrate 2 and the sealing plate 6. A region surrounded by the element substrate 2, the sealing plate 6, and the sealing material 7 is a sealing region 8. A main surface on the outside of the sealing plate 6 is a light extracting surface 25 to extract light emitted by the organic luminescent layer 12. The light extracting surface 25 includes a parallel part 25a formed on the light extracting surface 25 of a light emitting region 21 in the vertical direction on the outside of the organic luminescent layer 12, and an inclined part 25b formed in a non-light emitting region 22 in the vertical direction on the outside of the organic luminescent layer 12, and inclined to the parallel part 25a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
