<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing apparatus, a data processing method, and a program that exactly reduces an occupancy amount of video data in a buffer, and certainly prevent breakdown of the buffer. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a demultiplexer 120; a video ES (Elementary Stream) buffer 131; and an overflow discrimination unit 160 which supervises the occupancy amount of the video ES in the video ES buffer 131, determines whether the valve added the occupancy amount of the video ES in the video ES buffer and a size of output video ES, exceeds a first threshold, and notices it to the demultiplexer. The demultiplexer 120 includes a PES (Packetized Elementary Stream) header detection unit 125 which analyzes a PES header, determines whether it is a reference drawing or an un-reference drawing, and controls to output the video ES data to the video ES buffer, output in a predetermined condition, or discard according to the notification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
