The method involves carrying out a frequency (F)/power (P) regulation on groups of productions during imbalance between the production and consumption so as to return to balance. Another frequency/power regulation is carried out, and third frequency/power regulation is carried out, where a set of consumers e.g. electrolysis installation, participates in two of the frequency/power regulations by regulating power demand based on the frequency of an electrical network in a manner to reduce or increase power demand in the case of reduction or increase in the frequency. An independent claim is also included for an electricity consuming installation comprising units for participating frequency/power regulations.
