<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in packet transfer by Chord, transfer is not performed several times between the same nodes, however, it is possible to be transferred on the same physical link several times when it is seen from a route which is routed through on the physical network, multiple transfer of one packet on the same link does not become a problem in a broadband link, however, when a band of the link is narrow, an adverse effect is given to throughput and transfer delay time of the whole Chord network. <P>SOLUTION: In this overlay network configuration method, in a system for configuring an overlay network (Chord ring), each node constituting the Chord ring obtains topology information, and when a certain node participates in the Chord ring, an ID of a participation node becomes a value between IDs of an upstream node and a downstream node, and an ID to be used by the participation node is determined after determining where the participation node is arranged in the Chord ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
