PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scorotron electrifier for further preventing leakage from occurring. SOLUTION: The scorotron electrifier includes: a shield case 2 for forming a recess groove 2a along a longitudinal direction; a pair of end block 3 disposable respectively of both ends of the recess groove 2a of the shield case 2; a discharge wire 4 stretchable in the shield case 2 by being fixed respectively of the end blocks and disposing each of the pair of the end blocks on respectively of both the ends of the recess groove 2a of the shield case 2; a grid electrode 5 for covering an open part 2b of the recess groove 2a in the shield case 2; and a leakage preventive member 6 for preventing occurrence of leakage by adhering water on the end 4a of the discharge wire 4. The scorotron charger includes a covering part for covering the circumference of the end 4a of the discharge wire 4 while not being brought into contact with the end 4a of the discharge wire 4, and a contact part for flowing water adhered to the covering part to the end block 3 by being brought into contact with the end block 3 in composing the leakage preventive member 6.
