PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing which has high white paper gloss, and has excellent surface smoothness, printability, and internal bond strength, and further has a low bulk density (bulkiness) of not more than 0.95 g/cm<SP>3</SP>even if coated layers are present on both surfaces of a base paper. SOLUTION: The bulky coated paper for printing is a coated paper having a coated layer comprising a pigment and a binder as main components at least on one surface of the base paper containing 1-30 mass% porous filler obtained by coagulating silicon-containing particles made of silicon dioxide and/or a silicic acid salt, and 0.1-40 pts.mass of alkali-resistant fine particles based on 100 pts.mass of the silicon-containing particles as a filler rate in the paper, and has an internal bond strength of not less than 350 J/m<SP>2</SP>.
