PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more exact brake control for reducing or avoiding collision. SOLUTION: The collision reduction device reduces or avoids the collision by performing brake control when it is presumed that one's own vehicle collides to the other vehicle. Specifically, the collision reduction device presumes a collision portion, i.e., a position of the own vehicle where it is presumed that the other vehicle collides to it and presumes a collision angle that the other vehicle collides to the own vehicle. Subsequently, the collision reduction device presumes a penetration portion when the other vehicle penetrates the own vehicle from the collision portion and the collision angle.
