Provided is a lighting apparatus(100; 200; 300; 400; 500; 600) comprising at least one transparent substrate (102)and a plurality of lighting devices (206; 306) situated on the at least one transparent substrate. The at least one transparent substrate has at least one conducting layer(204; 208; 308)for supplying power to the plurality of lighting devices. Each lighting device comprises a light emitting diode (516, 520, 524) and a point of load converter (518, 522, 526). The point off load converters are located at the same location on the transparent substrate as the light emitting diodes to allow power to be transmitted across the transparent substrate at a different voltage from the supply voltage of the light emitting diodes. |
