The subject matter of the present invention is Zn N-acetyltaurinate of formula: [CH3-CO-NH-CH2-CH2-SO3]2 - Zn2+ for preventing and/or treating diseases with lipofuscin accumulation due in particular to ageing or to oxidative stress, and for preparing a medicament that is of use in treating these diseases.
