Disclosed is a rubber composition with low heat buildup and superior rupture characteristics (anticrack growth properties). More specifically, the invention pertains to a rubber composition characterized by the fact that with respect to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component comprising 10 mass% or more of a modified conjugate diene polymer having 90% or more of cis-1,4 bonds and 1.2% or less of vinyl bonds and having primary amino groups, 10-100 parts by mass of inorganic filler and/or carbon black are mixed in. Here, the above modified conjugate diene polymer is obtained by (1) reacting prescribed conjugate diene polymers having active ends with compounds having two or more prescribed functional groups, and (2) then reacting the product obtained with compounds having primary amino groups.
