The motor vehicle has a vehicle body which is connected with a suspension sub frame (3) for a rear wheel suspension, and reinforcing bars (6,7). Each reinforcing bar is connected with an elastic support (4,5) for a suspension sub frame at its outer free ends (10,11). The reinforcing bars extend diagonally from the lateral longitudinal chassis beams (1,2) up to a tunnel closing plate (14) in the vehicle longitudinal center plane (L). The reinforcing bars are mounted with an inner free end (12,13) at the tunnel closing plate.
